We are based in Lee county Florida. Placida, Gasparilla, Boca Grande, Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte, Charlotte harbor, Pine Island sound, Matlacha pass, Sanibel, Captiva, Estero bay, the Caloosahatchee, Peace and Myakka rivers are all areas the we fishing on a daily basis.
With its diverse ecosystem and year around beautiful weather, this area of SW Florida allows us the opportunity to pursue some of the worlds most prized gamefish 365 days a year. Mangrove shorelines, backwater creeks, grass flats, oysters bars, deep water passes and beaches... this area truly has it all!!!
My skiff is on a trailer, this allows me to plan a unique trip, customized for each customers specific requirements and with a list of launch locations throughout the area, we're able to choose the site closest to where we're going to be fishing for the day... which means less time running and more time catching fish.
A trip to this area is truly unique... an experience unlike any other. Starting with its remote location, its like being in another world. The nature, the wildlife, the scenery and lets try not to get overwhelmed and forget about the fishing...
This is really two different fisheries in one, the backcountry of the Everglades and the open water flats of Florida Bay... and they are separated by the locks at the Flamingo marina. For this reason, my preferred location to call home base is Flamingo. Which allows access to both bodies of water by having a launch on both sides of the lock.
This trip needs to be planned in advance due to the logistics involved. The travel to and from, lodging and meals all have options and decisions that need to be made. For this reasons it will require a minimum of a 2 day booking.
If this adventure interests you... take a look at Flamingo Adventures... there you will be able to see some of the options and amenities that are available.
I personally have been visiting and learning about this area for the last five years, typically spending at least 30 days a year here. And I can say from experience that this trip should be taken from mid October thru mid May.
