Let me start by emphasizing the fact that this is YOUR trip and the day is about YOU!!!
Communication is key, so it's very important that you provide me with as much information as possible about your expectations, desires and limitations( if any) so that I can plan accordingly and make this a most memorable experience.
Our trip will start at a prearranged marina/boat ramp at the agreed upon time.
We will be fishing from a technical poling skiff, which will accommodate myself and a maximum of 2 anglers and the gear for the specific day I have planned. Please do not show up with additional people the morning of figuring that it will be "alright"!!! Not only will there not be room for them, I will only have tackle and equipment on board for the trip we preplanned.
Fishing License, is provided... no need to purchase one.
Tackle and Equipment
Whether light tackle or fly fishing is your game, I will provide you with top quality tackle and equipment to get the job done. Shimano, G Loomis, TFO, Power Pro, Seaguar, Ande, Zman, Buggs fishing, MirrOlure, Mustad and Aquadream are just some of the brands we use.
If you have a favorite rod that you'd like to bring, please ask before the trip so we can make sure that its going to work for what were doing and not just taking up space.
Planning for your day
We are in the tropics, the sun is extreme and it gets hot so dressing accordingly can make or break your day on the water. You should wear light colored, loose fitting breathable clothing preferably with sun protection built in. A hat and sunglasses are also necessities. All or a portion of our day will be spent fishing in shallow, clear water where we are able to spot and sight cast to the fish we're trying to catch so polarized sun glasses are an important part of your gear, copper lenses are the top choice for this situation. For footwear, a NON-MARKING rubber sole shoe or sandal. Rain can also appear out of nowhere and at any time, so a light weight packable style rain jacket is recommended... we'll do our best to avoid it but as long as there's no lightning involved we're going to fish through the rain.
I will have a cooler on board with ice and bottled water and plenty of room for you to bring whatever else you would like to drink and snacks/lunch. HARD LICQUER IS NOT ALLOWED!!! Please do not plan to bring your own cooler on board, floor space is very limited and it will only be in the way.
A small backpack or dry bag for your personal items is fine.
