The common snook is one of our most prized gamefish and we are blessed to have them in healthy numbers throughout our area all year.
An ambush predator that with the proper presentation will willingly and aggressively strike an artificial lure or fly.
This often times acrobatic and always hard fighting fish will put both your tackle and skills an an angler to the test. Depending on the season and time of year we target them in every situation from backcountry creeks to grass flats, deep edges and passes to the beaches and near shore reefs.
Spring through fall provides the best chance of landing a truly large fish... that being the 40" class.
Targeting big snook at night during the summer months can not only be an exciting option but it's also a great way to avoid our scorching hot days.
